I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Government at Harvard University (2024-2025) and will begin my appointment as an Assistant Professor in 2026. I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2024.

I study wars, violence, and state-building with an empirical focus on Korea. In my work, I examine how state violence and wartime mobilization shape the lives of ordinary citizens.
